Barcelona VS Chealsea, face to face in 'The Champions League'

The Champions League is a tournament played in Europe between the best soccer clubs from all the leagues in Europe: Spain, England, Italy, Germany, etc....

This weak there were multiple matches but the best one in my own opinion was the one between Barcelona of Spain and Chealsea of England. Both teams came to the match in excelent conditions as they are both leading the leagues in their countries. Barcelona with fotball players from all over the world and Chealsea with football players mainly from Europe and Africa.

The game was played in Spain, so Bercelona had home field advatage but Chelsea is a hard team in every single aspect and everyone thought they were going to win. Although no one disregarded Barcelona who has one of the best offense in Europe with Ronaldinho, Deco, Eto, Giuly and their all new Maxi Lopez. They also have a strong midfield that can contain and create as well, with Rafel Marquez and Albertini who adjusted to the team after being recruited just a few weeks ago. They also have a good goalie Victor Valdez who does not let anything get in his goal.

The game started with a Barcelona coming to the attack very aggresively and a Chelsea who was just waiting and planning counter attacks. Aperently this worked for Chealse, for although Barcelona had posession of the ball most of the time, Chelsea with only two counter attacks scored the firs goal of the night.

The first half ended with Chelsea on top 1-0 but in the second half Barcelona came in more aggresive. Coach Frankjirard Switched Giuly for Maxi Lopez, this changed Barcelona completely for he was the author of a goal and helped scored the next one. The game ended and Barcelona won partially because they still have to play another game in England, the team accumulating more goals in both games will go to the next round and the looser will be disqualified. Good luck for both teams!

Rafael Marquez

Rafael Marquez is currently the best Mexican soccer player, he is only 25 years old and is playing in Barcelona FC of Spain, one of the best and richest soccer clubs of the world. Marquez started his carreer in Mexico at the age of 17 playing for Pumas a first division team. Then he was transfered to Atlas where he started to become known for his defensive skills and his goals when coming up for corner kicks. At the age of 20 Marquez was recruited by Monaco, a French league first division team. While at Monaco, Marquez won a title with the club and was named the best defender of the legue during that year. In 2003 Barcelona became intrested in Marquez and payed 14 thousand dollars to aquire him. He had a slow start, at first he was having some difficulties gaining credivility from Frank Rikjard, Barcelonas coach, who did not know much about Marquez. After a while Rikjard realized the capacity of Marquez and since last season Marquez has been a started and one of the main peaces for the good functioning of Barcelona FC, which right now is in position number one in the Spanish league. Marquez has also been a great piece for the Mexican soccer team. Since Marquez has been in the team, it has been very difficult for other teams to beat the Mexican national team.
Marquez right now is in excellent football conditions he is playing his best with both teams, Barcelona, and Mexico. If he keeps playing like he is there is no doubt that Barcelona will endup winnig the Spanish league and that Mexico will have no problems qualifying for the next World Cup.
